A police officer, including a father and son of the same family, has died in a powerful explosion in Dhanusha last night. Four people were seriously injured in the incident.
Rajesh and his 24-year-old son Anand died at the scene of the explosion at the gate of the house of 46-year-old Rajesh Sah at the ward no 5 Mahendranagar Bazar in the main market center of Kshirswarnath Municipality of Dhanusha, 16 km north of Janakpur. Police Inspector Amir Kumar Dahal of the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar, was also died in the same explosion, according to the District Police Office, Dhanusha.
Rajesh’s youngest son, Prakash, 14, daughter Nikki Kumari22 and father of 73, Bhikhari Sah, were injured in the blast. Similarly, policeman Rijnath Kumar Mahato was injured. The injured were shifted to Janakpur, a regional hospital for treatment and taken to Dharan for further treatment after primary treatment.
It was hanged at an iron gate outside the newly built house inside the main wall of Rajesh’s house on Friday night. When Rajesh’s wife got up for the toilet at night, she noticed something hanging on the door and informed her by raising her husband.
Upon receiving the news, a police team led by Inspector Dahal was searching for the bag while checking it explode said one of police men. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Karki, the matter has not been ascertained who and why. Police said that he had started an investigation.
